The rose of Jericho ( Anastatica hierochuntica) is known by different names: the resurrection flower, “rebirth” plant, fertility flower.
In the Arab World, it is known under the name “ chajarat Mariam ” (Mary’s tree).
The Jericho rose is native to the Sahara, the Middle East and pre-Saharan North Africa.
She has the incredible ability to stay alive for a long time. Indeed, without rain in a completely dried form, it has the capacity to revive itself on contact with water in just a few hours.
Thanks to its remarkable virtues, the Rose of Jericho is a plant used as a remedy since the Middle Ages. It is known as a remedy for male and female infertility.
For the woman :
- It particularly favors the ovulation phase.
- Used at the end of pregnancy to facilitate childbirth.
- It acts on the inconveniences and disorders caused by menopause.
- It soothes symptoms linked to premenstrual syndrome (stomach aches, etc.)
Two methods of use
How to use chajarat Mariam to get pregnant ?
To do everything possible to start a pregnancy , you can use it as a decoction or infusion by drinking a cup in the morning from the 3rd day of menstruation until the last day, over a period of 1 to 3 cycles. But above all, as with all traditional remedies, I strongly advise having a healthy diet: plant-based, without processed products (fast food, frozen meals, etc.).
Please note that chajarat Mariam can also be consumed by men as well.
1-In infusion (reusable):
Put the rose in a bowl of cold water and let it open for a few hours, then let it dry on a paper. Collect the water from the bowl and heat it without exceeding 40 degrees.
2-In decoction (non-reusable):
Place the rose in a pan of water and bring to the boil for around ten minutes. Filter then sweeten if necessary.
Tips and tricks
This plant is then stored in a clean, dry place, protected from humidity. After use, let it dry on absorbent paper for 2 to 3 weeks; you can only reuse it once it is completely dry. Store it in a glass box preferably or an airtight bag.

Bonjour svp moi jai un cycle qui ne dure pas….mes règles peuvent venir et fini juste au 3ieme jour donc quand vous dites qu’on commence à l’utiliser au 3 ieme jour…..pour moi cest en fait la fin de mon cycle.
