Nigella seed, its scientific name Nigella Sativa , is also called Habba Sawda, habbat al baraka or black cumin.
Its benefits are numerous for the health, well-being and beauty of the skin and hair.
It is traditionally consumed orally: by taking the ground seeds directly with water, honey or as a cooking seasoning (bread, salad, etc.). The oil cold extracted from Nigella seeds is used internally and locally.
The mode of administration essentially depends on the expected effects and its use. When applied externally, black seed oil is very practical and easy to use for skin problems, scalp, joint and muscle pain, allergies, etc.
Dosage and dosage of nigella
Internally 1 to 10 times per day:
- For an adult: 1 to 2 teaspoons of seeds or oil per day. If 2 spoons, take only in the morning and evening. If 1 spoon, take only in the morning on an empty stomach. A course of treatment should not exceed 3 months.
- For a child over 12 years old: 1/2 teaspoon of seeds or oil per day.

Apply it by massaging onto the muscles. On the other hand, on joints and tendinitis, apply it delicately without massaging.
Some tips for choosing your oil:
It must be virgin, extracted cold, stored away from heat. Prefer it in a pharmaceutical bottle: in opaque glass so that it is protected from UV rays.
